CHOCTAW EMIGRATION RECORDS, Vol. 1

Description

Compiled by Monty Olsen, one of our volunteers in 1990. In his words the transcription of these documents has been a challenge, as the copies are difficult to read and to reproduce into a typewritten copy.  It gives their age, sex, how tall, and if they were a slave. Many of them had their original Indian name.  This book contains 1831-1856 -Vol. 1, List of Choctaws after arrival in Indian Territory. As far as I know we are the only ones that ever transcribed these records into print as we still receive some orders for them. Indexed 283 pages.
