CHOCTAW EMIGRATION RECORDS, Vol. 2

Description

Compiled by Monty Olsen one of our volunteers, 5 years after volume one.  Looking through volume 2 it looks like in the 40.s and early 50.s.  For instance, starting on page 10 is the Muster Roll of the Choctaw Indians emigrated by Alexander Anderson, John B. Foster, Samuel Cobb, and James Pickens, under their contract with the government of the U.S. being a census of the Choctaw Indians taken and numbered on the east bank of the Mississippi River, in February 15,16, and 17th. 1845 as they debarked. There are 1182 names in this group alone.  This book contains 1831-1856 -Vol. 2, indexed.
